As some of you may already know, Q: EXPOSED! is our annual digital fundraiser, and we are currently in the thick of the 2025 campaign - our second iteration of this kaupapa! This year, we are on a journey to raise $36k in 36 days, before we hit the end of tax year on the 31 March.
Each week, as part of our campaign, we've been introducing our community to a few of the humans who make up the team at Q - the people who work tirelessly to make what we do possible. This year's Q: EXPOSED! fundraiser aim is to 'Power Up Q'. While this idea started in a literal sense (we could really use the help to cover our consistently rising power bills!), it also speaks to the significant amount of human energy it takes to keep a machine like Q running.

Luckily for us, our team is made up of diversely talented people who are incredibly good at what they do (if we do say so ourselves!). From the friendly faces who greet you in our Visitor Experience team, to the technical crew who help everything run smoothly backstage, each department has a huge role to play in keeping our venue alive and thriving.
Our mission at Q is to provide a home for the performing arts, where artists and audiences can come together and everyone's voices can be heard. As Hayley Robertson from our admin team beautifully puts it, "There are no barriers in theatre around what language you choose to use. It's the essential balance and reaction to the status quo."
Without the dedication of our passionate team, we simply wouldn't be able to provide the space, opportunities and platforms for these essential connections and conversations to happen.

Penelope Barr-Sellers, Chair of Q Theatre Limited and Q Theatre Trust spoke about the staff at Q, saying:
"The team at Q is incredible - not only do they work tirelessly to enable performers to create magic on stage, they ensure everyone who visits Q has a great experience. It's humbling to be part of an organisation that contributes so much to the performing arts industry and to work alongside such a dedicated bunch of people."
It is such a privilege to play our part in Auckland's performing arts industry and to feel the aroha of our community around us as we strive towards our fundraising goal. We truly couldn't do it without our whole team on board and they couldn't do it without your support!
