Full disclosure: Deke, a member of our international panel of jurors, also happens to have been musical director for the three blockbusting ‘Pitch Perfect’ films! He’s chosen a song from the first movie – the Bellas’ Finale Mashup (‘Price Tag’, ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’, ‘Tonight’) – but they’re not singing it, YOU are! Become one of the Barden Bellas and, with Deke’s expert guidance, you’ll soon be singing all the parts and crushing it with fellow Pitch Perfect fans... entirely a cappella (with some vocal percussion). Prepare to hear several behind-the-scenes stories as well. All ages and singing levels welcome. Aca-mazing!
Deke Sharon has been called the 'Father of Contemporary A Cappella' for having created and popularised the modern a cappella sound, whiuh includes vocal percussion. Music director, arranger and producer for all three Pitch Perfect Films, he was also local producer and music director of 'The Sing Off' (US, South Africa, China, Netherlands). As well as being a judge and clinician for Eurovision Choir 2019, he has produced such gold albums as ‘Straight No Chaser', 'Committed' and ‘DCappella’.
