Explore an event of verbal amnesty and guaranteed laughter. I sit in a chair unable to speak and listen to whoever sits with me. If anyone does, I listen to everything they say and laugh. No matter what is said, I WILL LAUGH.

This is an AMNESTY event. Anybody can say anything to me and it is important that they are not prosecuted for anything they say. Come and share a joke you couldn’t normally get away with, come and reveal a secret that has never been greeted with laughter.
I don’t mind, I WILL LAUGH.

Hot off the heels of I WILL LAUGH’s Tour to Whangarei Fringe in October 2020, Sean Burnett Dugdale-Martin brings his work to the Vault at Q Theatre for a Summer At Q season.

Sean honed his skills at the University of Auckland under the teachings of Emma Willis, Tom Bishop, Rina Kim, James Wenley and Murray Edmond. He left the institution with a First In Course award for Drama 301 and headed Welly-way where he undertook 16 weeks of clown workshops under international funny-man Fraser Hooper. This piece is inspired by the works of Marina Abramovic, Rachael Longshaw-Park and the people of Aotearoa.
