An exclusive opportunity to hear double Carnegie Medal-winning author of A Monster Calls and Monsters of Men, Patrick Ness discuss his acclaimed writing career in his only public event in Auckland.
Described as “an insanely beautiful writer” by John Green, there isn’t much in the world of writing that Patrick Ness hasn’t done. One of a handful of authors to have won the Carnegie Medal – the most prestigious prize for writing for young people, with fellow alumni including Terry Pratchett, Philip Pullman, CS Lewis and Aotearoa New Zealand's own Margaret Mahy – twice for A Monster Calls and Monsters of Men – he’s also the author of a number of books for adults, a new middle-grade series and major screenwriting projects, including an adaptation of his work starring Liam Neeson and the Doctor Who spin-off, Class.
Patrick's books, including his wonderful new junior fiction novel, Chronicles of A Lizard Nobody will be available for sale, and Patrick will be signing books after the event.
Patrick will be discussing the full range of his work, and this session is appropriate for readers and fans of all ages.
