This interactive experience not only celebrates the nation's cultural diversity but also explores the powerful role of singing has played as a vehicle to foster unity and harmony. Michael Barrett conducts the University of Pretoria (Tuks) Camerata and is a senior lecturer in choral conducting in the Department of Music. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCE) and a Performance Licentiate in Singing from the University of South Africa and a Doctorate of Music (Performing Arts) in Choral Performance through the University of Pretoria. Michael is also Executive Director and Co-Producer of “Capital Singers”, South Africa’s largest community choir project.
