URZILA CARLSON ANNOUNCES ENCORE PERFORMANCES OF ’TOKEN AFRICAN’! FILMED FOR UPCOMING COMEDY SPECIAL
Multi award-winning South African Kiwi Urzila Carlson will be performing 2 special encore performances of her hit stand-up hour 'Token African', at Auckland’s Q Theatre on August 17.
Two shows will be held at 8:30 pm and 10 pm, both are being filmed for an upcoming comedy special.
“What makes you African? Is it enough that you were born there? Do you need to be able to dance? Why does being South African not register as African in most places? You’re thinking about it right now, aren’t you? Questioning it.
“Africa changes people. People who visit game reserves wear ranger outfits… why is that? We don't wear scrubs when going to the doctor… Africa puts things in perspective, this show will help you find that focus, delivered to you by a Token African.”
With tickets only $20, these shows are guaranteed to sell out. You loved it the first time, so don’t miss your last chance you see Urzila Carlson perform ‘Token African’ LIVE.
