As we gear up for another exciting Auckland Pride Festival, one of the highlights coming to our Rangatira space on 14 & 15 Feb is Leather Lungs: Shut Up & Sing! With a jaw-dropping voice spanning a stunning four octaves and more savage wit and outrageous innuendos that you can shake a fist at, this cabaret spectacular is set to be one for the books.
This special show is not only filled with bucket loads of entertainment, but it's also incredibly heartfelt and honest. Leather Lungs is no stranger to challenges and adversity, but nothing can get him down. Shut Up & Sing! is all about digging deep and finding your happiness from within, despite all the ups and downs that life can bring.

Alright darlings, I hope you’re ready because Leather Lungs is coming home! That’s right - this proud Kiwi is trading the Aussie sunshine for the sparkle of Q Theatre this February, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring my show Shut Up & Sing! to Pride in Tāmaki Makaurau.
For those who don’t know me yet (how dare you), I’m all about big vocals, big laughs, and even bigger surprises.
Think cabaret turned up to full volume with a voice that could probably register on the Richter scale and enough cheek to keep you blushing all night long.
This show is a mix of everything I love - outrageous belters, tender ballads, and plenty of moments that’ll make you laugh, gasp, or (hopefully) both. I like to keep things honest, with a bit of heart and a whole lot of mischief. It’s all about connecting with you lot, sharing some stories, and reminding us all that life’s a bit messy - but damn, it’s worth celebrating.
Right now, I’m getting ready the only way I know how: by steaming my vocal cords, hydrating like it’s an Olympic sport, and devouring lollies like a human vacuum cleaner. It’s all part of the magic, babe. So grab your mates, pop on something fabulous, and let’s make some noise together. I can’t wait to see your gorgeous faces and share a night of glitter, guts, and absolute joy. Aotearoa, I’m home - let’s do this!
